Color Kinetics® sPDS-480ca 7.5V intelligent, rack-mountable power/data supply is specifically designed for Color Kinetics 7.5 volt Chromasic® fixtures. sPDS-480ca 7.5V is a robust 480 watt power source and is ideal for large installations. The data circuitry translates data supplied from Ethernet controllers, including Color Kinetics Light System Manager and Video System Manager, to a format compatible with the fixtures. sPDS-480ca 7.5V features on-board system configuration and monitoring capabilities. The integration of power and data simplifies fixture wiring, and the built-in configuration tools make initial setup and testing easy, without the need for additional equipment.
sPDS-480ca 7.5V is housed in a 2U rack-mountable enclosure designed for use in cabinets and racks, or surface-mounted to flat surfaces such as walls. The power supply automatically accommodates
supply voltages ranging from 100VAC to 240VAC, and a standard IEC power inlet accepts interchangeable power cords. Color Kinetics 7.5V Chromasic fixtures come with pre-attached connectors for easy connection to output ports. An RJ45 data input accepts standard Category 5 Ethernet cables.
The power supply features over-temperature detection and selectable shutdown options to alert the user when the unit is operating significantly beyond its rated maximum temperature. Variable speed fans keep noise levels low, and feature serviceable air filters. Fused outputs protect against short
circuits, and blown fuses are reported on the front panel display.
